Section 1

Open the app or web route, complete sign-up with verification, set a wallet pin, and pick a small contest for your first team. The first team is rarely a winning team. Treat it as a study.
Section 2

Pick a balanced XI rather than a star XI. A typical squad covers one or two top-order batters, an all-rounder or two, a wrist or finger spinner, a wicketkeeper-batter and three or four pace options. Read the contest rules for the exact limit.
| Role | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Top-order batter | Most consistent points on flat decks |
| All-rounder | Two role credits from one roster slot |
| Spinner | Wickets and economy in middle overs |
| Pace battery | Powerplay wickets and death-over ceilings |
| Wicketkeeper | Catches, stumping points and batting depth |
Section 3

Note the conditions: dew, wind, grass length, previous match totals. Bowler-friendly decks favour pace battery. Flat decks with short boundaries favour top-order batters. Set the captain and vice-captain after the toss is announced.
Section 4

After your first contest, keep a short note: the format, the result, the captain choice, the XI structure, the conditions. The note becomes more useful than any spreadsheet after the second session.
